This image shows the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. almost ten years after the initial attack and cleanup efforts following the extensive damage to the western side and interior rings of the multi-ringed building. The Pentagon Memorial, located just southwest of The Pentagon, was dedicated and opened on Sept. 11, 2008 as a permanent outdoor memorial to the men and women who lost their lives as victims of the attack.
