About This Image
This image shows the Souris River in Minot, North Dakota before severe flooding occurred in June 2011. This imagery is especially useful when compared to the half-meter resolution “post-flooding” image collected June 25, 2011 by the GeoEye-1 satellite showing the same area. The comparison images could be used to detect change, assess and measure damage to buildings, facilities, bridges and other critical infrastructure. They could also be used for disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts.
Publishing Guidelines: When publishing a GeoEye satellite image
