This one-meter resolution satellite image of Harrisburg, Illinois, was collected March 1, 2012, just one day after a Level 4 tornado touched down on February 29, 2012. The image clearly shows the tornado’s path from west to east, and the major damage to buildings, structures and other facilities, including the Harrisburg Medical Center, one of the largest health care facilities in southeastern Illinois. The imagery could be used to provide insight on relief efforts and emergency response and aid in rebuilding efforts.
