This image shows the Wat Tum village north of Bangkok, Thailand before extensive flooding occurred in Oct. 2011. This image is especially useful when compared to the one-meter resolution post-flooding image collected Oct. 27, 2011, showing the same area. The comparison images could be used to detect change, assess and measure damage to buildings, facilities, bridges and other critical infrastructure. They could also be used for disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts.
