National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the centres of Indian Space Research Organisation, striving to realise the Indian Space Vision, as a key player in Earth Observation Programme and Disaster Management Support programme. INTA Spaceturk, operating since 2001, is a pioneering and leading company in space based remote sensing technologies within the Eurasia region. INTA Spaceturk began its operations by direct tasking the GeoEye 82cm resolution Ikonos imaging satellite from its satellite ground station located in Ankara to produce various imagery products. As a Master Channel Partner of GeoEye it continues to be the source of Ikonos as well as the new 50cm resolution GeoEye-1 Satellite imagery products exclusively in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) was officially established on November 2, 2000 as a public organization under Ministry of Science and Technology. Being a one-stop service provider.

GISTDA has been playing a significant role in direct reception of the earth observation satellite data from LANDSAT-5, RADARSAT-1, SPOT-2,4,5 and ALOS, data archiving, processing, image analysis and provision of satellite data and GIS services to users worldwide. In addition, we also provide technical consultancies and regular and customized training programs to interested users. GISTDA is also a reseller of very high resolution satellite data, such as IKONOS and GeoEye-1 to serve domestic users from both public and private sectors. THEOS, Thailand Earth Observation Satellite, was successfully launched on October 1, 2008 and is fully operated by GISTDA.

The spatial resolution of the data includes 2 meter Panchromatic with 22 km swath width and 15 meter Multispectral with the large swath of 90 km. The satellite's sensor and orbit characteristics have been chosen strategically to provide worldwide geo-referenced image products for interdisciplinary applications including agriculture, forestry, landuse, environmental monitoring, cartography, water resources, coastal zone and natural disaster management.
