Multi-Sensor Triangulation
GeoEye's Multi-Sensor Triangulation (MST) system is a precise three-dimensional
bundle adjustment program that models the photogrammetric projective equations of
multiple imaging systems. Using both physical and stochastic mathematical models,
the best regression analysis is determined for the position and attitude of all
sensors providing images for the adjustment process. GeoEye's MST system yields
a high degree of relative and absolute geometric accuracy by means of a simultaneous
block triangulation with a sparse set of control points. Imagery is triangulated
from various sensors into a single block adjustment including IKONOS®, OrbView®-3,
Quickbird, and other satellite imaging sensors as well as aerial imaging platforms.
The resulting solution provides a geometrically consistent model for all image sources
across the project area.
