At DigitalGlobe, we convert stereo imagery into geospatial information to create terrain
and obstacle databases. A DigitalGlobe 3D Airport Terrain & Obstacle Database contains
elevation vector data for all significant natural or man-made obstacles around an
airport to support Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Procedure Design. Through
our analytical process, we can create complete geospatial model of a facility: what
it looks like, how the terrain is contoured, what the obstacles are, what it is
like to fly into and out of the airport. We can provide these solutions for both
commercial and defense and intelligence clients, such as civil aviation authorities,
military organizations, air training organizations, and unmanned aerial systems.
