Orleans, Louisiana
United States Mardi Gras wouldn't be complete
without a look at New Orleans. Lake Pontchartrain dominates the
northern portion of this Landsat image while the Mississippi River
meanders through the lower portion. Interstate 10 is clearly visible
along the eastern edge of Lake Pontchartrain. The piece of land
extending into the lake is New Orleans Lakefront Airport. The body
of water to the east is Lake Borgne.
