Florida It's springtime and this time of year many
a college student's head turns toward Florida. This false-color
image of the Florida Peninsula was acquired April 18, 1997 by the
Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) 1C satellite's wide field sensor (WiFS).
Several distinct landmarks include Cape Canaveral, Lake Okeechobee
and Tampa Bay. Brilliant red indicates healthy vegetation. The resolution
of this image is 180 meters in near infrared and red spectral bands.
