Alaska GeoEye's
IKONOS satellite collected this four-meter false-color image of
Fairbanks, Alaska (65 degrees 00 minutes north latitude, 153 degrees
00 minutes west longitude) October 1, 1999. The image clearly shows
the braided stream pattern of the Tanana River. GeoEye used
bands 4,3,2 to highlight healthy vegetation (shown in red) along
the river.
