in this image lie man's first footprints on another world. The Sea
of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis), highlighted in this image
taken December 22, 1999 from the IKONOS satellite, was the landing
site of Apollo 11. July 20, 2000 marks the 31st anniversary of the
historic event. GeoEye will not collect lunar images in the
future.
