IKONOS 1, the world's
first commercial one-meter resolution Earth-imaging satellite, will
be launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
The 1997 image is a combination of
5-meter black and white imagery from IRS 1-C and colorized with
5-meter Landsat imagery.
Liftoff from Space Launch Complex-6
(Slick-6) will occur during a launch window from 11:21am to 11:51am
PDT (1821-1851 GMT) April 27, 1999.
